The Norman Course uses the sandy coastal terrain to create a firm links-style test with sculpted bunkers, natural waste areas and undulating greens. Water is used sparingly, so scoring depends more on position and creative recovery shots.
Coastal wind can change club selection throughout the round, particularly on the closing seaside holes. Golfers comfortable with low running shots will find plenty of strategic options.
